About Tuam Golf Club

Founded in 1904, Tuam Golf Club is now ranked among the best parkland courses in Ireland. Its tree-lined fairways, challenging bunkers and testing greens have made it a daunting challenge for even the most accomplished golfers.The club is also known for being the professional home of the late Christy O’Connor Snr who passed away in May 2016 at the age of 91.Christy Snr.'s connection to Tuam Golf Club started in the late 1940s. From the age of 10, in his spare time, he was caddying at Galway Golf Club. He quickly earned a reputation as a brilliant instructor, giving lessons to members in Tuam and in several nearby clubs.
