Wales offers some of the most scenically dramatic golf in the British Isles — wind-swept coastal links, mountain-backed parkland and ancient courses steeped in history. Royal Porthcawl, Aberdovey and Royal St David's Harlech are among Britain's most revered courses.

South Wales Links

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is home to Royal Porthcawl — host of the Senior Open and one of Britain's finest links. Nearby Pyle & Kenfig offers excellent links golf at a fraction of the cost. Pennard on the Gower Peninsula provides dramatic clifftop golf above Three Cliffs Bay.

North Wales

Royal St David's at Harlech, set beneath Harlech Castle with Snowdonia as a backdrop, is one of Britain's most spectacular courses. Nefyn & District on the Lleyn Peninsula and Abersoch offer superb links golf with stunning Cardigan Bay views.

Mid Wales & Inland

Aberdovey Golf Club — where golf writer Bernard Darwin first played — is a classic estuary links on Cardigan Bay. Celtic Manor near Newport, host of the 2010 Ryder Cup, is Wales's flagship resort course. The mid-Wales countryside offers peaceful parkland golf at very accessible prices.

Green Fees
